HOW TO MAKE OBSERVATORY AT HOME!

(1)Observatory Design Principles

If you are of those sky-lovers, eager to get home at night and set your private telescope/ binoculars on top of the roof or out on the balcony for making universe surfing among stars and the other astronomy objects, so this stuff here is exactly for you!
It’s organized as a HOME-MADE OBSERVATORY GUIDE, focused on some basic design principles that will help you to make your telescope protected and the space around it convenient and easy to use.
For now it’s just helpful theory! However, in the near future, turning theory into practice is coming soon! In that series of posts you can follow the process showing how the starry sky becomes a part of your home!

Before getting in details, let’s review the various types of observatories that are possible. If any chosen, it will protect your observing equipment and provide a view of the sky in any directions.

  • TEMPORARY OBSERVATORY
A temporary observatory is one that is installed only for a short time: one or a few observing sessions. An interesting variation on the temporary observatory is the use of a small permanent observatory on an automobile trailer. However, it doesn’t generally provide protection of equipment in severe weather and in addition it’s complex to be set up.

  • REMOVABLE ROOF OBSERVATION
          More is coming soon...
